Sourcing is not only finding a price; it is managing the right risks.
Technical definition, source selection, documentation, lead time and communication are parts of one process. ÇETİMUR's approach is built around this whole.
A clear sourcing flow in four steps.
Not every request requires the same technical depth, but the logic stays the same: clarify the need, evaluate the source, make conditions visible and follow through to delivery.
Define
Collect the part number, drawing, standard, quantity, application and lead-time expectations.
Verify
Clarify material, coating, tolerance, revision, manufacturer part number and documentation expectations.
Source
Compare manufacturer, distributor or manufacturing alternatives by technical suitability, lead time and commercial conditions.
Follow
Keep order confirmation, lead time, documentation and delivery status visible.
Questions to ask before problems occur.
In critical projects, simply finding the item is not enough. The source, product identity, documentation and delivery commitment also need to be understood.
Product identity
Ensure the MPN, revision, standard, dimensions, material and surface information define the same product as quoted.
Source visibility
Keep manufacturer / distributor / independent source type as visible as possible and avoid unsupported authorized-channel claims.
Documentation
Clarify CoC, material certificates, test reports, lot/date code or customer-specific documents before order.
Lead time
Understand stock, production time, minimum order, import time and logistics risks at quotation stage.
Alternative product
Do not assume technical equivalency; offer alternatives subject to customer technical approval.
Confidentiality
Use NDA and controlled file-sharing workflows when needed for confidential drawings or BOMs.
What should be clear in a quotation?
A good quotation contains more than unit price. Product definition, source status, lead time, MOQ, documentation scope and any exceptions should be visible.
Product definition
Brand/manufacturer, part number, standard or drawing reference.
Commercial terms
Price, currency, MOQ, pack quantity and quotation validity.
Lead time & delivery
Stock/production status, estimated lead time and delivery terms.
Documentation scope
Scope of requested CoC, certificates, test or traceability information.
What can a sourcing request look like?
The scenarios below illustrate our intended workflow. They are not customer references, completed-project claims or guaranteed outcomes.
Drawing-defined special fastener
Long-lead military interconnect
Mixed BOM / supplier consolidation
If your request is ready, let's start the process.
It can be a single item or a BOM. Share what you have and we will clarify any missing technical points together.
